Drug suspect yields P136,000 worth of shabu, gun in Rizal bust

LUCENA CITY–Policemen in Rizal province busted on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 4 and 5) seven alleged drug pushers and seized more than P776,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm.

A team of anti-illegal drug operatives in Rodriguez town arrested “Edward”, “Cristal”, and “Kiko” around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday after they sold a pack of shabu to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay (village) San Jose, the Region 4A police said in a report on Wednesday.

Seized from the suspect were seven plastic sachets of shabu weighing 64 grams and worth P435,200 as per the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Edward was also found carrying an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with three bullets.

In Binangonan town, a police officer collared “Jay” in a drug bust operation in Barangay Calumpang at around 5 p.m. also on Tuesday.

The suspect was caught in the alleged possession of four sachets containing meth worth P171,428.

One alias “Hana” was arrested by Angono policemen in another sting operation in Barangay San Vicente around 3:19 p.m. on Tuesday.

The drug suspect yielded P34,000 worth of shabu.

Meanwhile, anti-illegal drug operatives in Tanay town arrested “Jenny” and “Tonton” at around 2:05 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Tandang Kutyo after they sold shabu to a poseur buyer.

The cops found them with five sachets of shabu worth P136,000.

Police also seized two mobile phones during the operations, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

Rizal police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

All suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
