Of the 49 aliens barred, American nationals topped the list of excluded sex offenders, followed by the United Kingdom and Germany.

The bureau said statistics showed that the bulk of those excluded aliens were registered sex offenders, or those who have a record of convictions for sex crimes in their country of origin. —Jane Bautista
