“That’s the area of Samar provinces including Biliran and Leyte provinces,” Badrina explained in Filipino, referring to the areas in Visayas which may experience the most rainfall.

The rest of the Visayas, including Central and Northern Visayas, may also experience overcast skies with isolated light rains.

Caraga and Davao Region may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of an LPA.

According to Badrina, the LPA is located south of the Philippines near the equator.

“For the rest of Mindanao, there are chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” he continued.

Pagasa said that they are still not monitoring any LPA forming within the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday.
