/ 06:44 AM May 05, 2012

A LIVE demonstration of how to prepare fresh, organic food will be made at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow at Rustan’s Supermarket.

Eleanor Rivera, a Cebuana advocate of healthy, natural alternatives, will show how to make homemade soups and salads that are a “super easy” and a treat for children.

She will also demonstrate how to prepare sandiwches, sorbets, and smoothies that are tasty and healthy.

Rivera has her own farm in Balamban town in southwest Cebu called “Healing Present,” which is the source of fresh produce: lettuce, arugula, bokchoy, kale and basil, among others.

Health buffs can enjoy Rivera’s homemade treats that include herbal tonics, green smoothies, pesto, hummus and Detox juice, which she prepares herself.
