Meth, marijuana worth P32.2M seized in Calabarzon in October
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon seized more than P32.2 million worth of illegal drugs during their month-long operation in October.
In a report released Thursday, Nov. 2, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) said they arrested 846 drug traffickers during 670 anti-illegal drug operations across the region last month.
The operations yielded 4.6 kilos of shabu (crystal meth) and 5.9 kilos of marijuana with a total worth of P32,290,228.80 based on the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
On top of the successful operations was the arrest of one alias “Eric,” a high-value target in the government’s drug war, during a buy-bust operation on Oct. 21.
The suspect was caught in possession of 750 grams of meth with a DDB value of P5,100,000.
