Voting for Barangay and SK elections starts at Pasong Tamo Elementary School in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Early voters began casting their ballots at 7 a.m. on Monday at Pasong Tamo Elementary School in Barangay Pasong Tamo in Quezon City for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Pasong Tamo is one of the three areas designated by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to conduct automated elections, unlike the rest of the barangays in the Philippines which would use manual voting.

The other two barangays that will use vote-counting machines are both in Dasmariñas City in Cavite — Paliparan III and Zone II.

In a message to INQUIRER.net, Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said 25,698 regular voters were registered to vote at Pasong Tamo Elementary Pasong Tamo Elementary School.

There are also 7,728 registered voters in the area who may vote in the SK elections, said Garcia.

Comelec earlier disclosed that it was eyeing a 75 percent voter turnout — bigger than the 71.2 percent voter turnout in the 2018 barangay and SK polls.
