3 traffickers in Batangas City yield shabu worth P453,000
LUCENA CITY – Police anti-narcotics operatives in Batangas City seized more than P453,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from three alleged illegal drug traffickers in buy-bust operations on Wednesday and Thursday.
In a report, the Region 4A police said a suspected pusher identified as “Rodrigo” was arrested at 10:23 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, after he sold P2,000 worth of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay Cuta.
The police officers seized from the suspect 11 sachets of shabu weighing 60.97 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P420,693.
The same team of operatives also arrested at 12:52 a.m. Thursday, Oct.26, two more alleged pushers identified by their aliases as “Joselito” and “Jeffrey” in another sting in Barangay Calicanto.
The duo was found carrying two sachets of meth with a DDB value of P33,120.

Article continues after this advertisementThe report tagged “Rodrigo” as included on the drug watch list as a high-value individual in the local drug trade, while “Joselito” and “Jeffrey” were classified as street-level pushers.
The suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
