DOH: “Hospital lockdown” online message is false
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health on Thursday denied circulating online messages that a DOH-managed hospital has been locked down due to a patient infected with coronavirus.
The health department said that the message is not true, and that all DOH hospitals are fully operational.
“This message is FALSE. No DOH hospital is currently implementing a lockdown and all DOH hospitals remain fully-operational,” the advisory said.
The DOH also advised the public to remain vigilant and take get health-related news items from the official platforms of the agency.
“The DOH calls on the public to be vigilant in sharing information and only source health news and information from official DOH platforms,” it added.
As of October 4, the health department said there are 2,943 active COVID-19 cases.
