28 Negrenses pass DOST scholarship exam
TWENTY-EIGHT high school graduates from Negros Oriental passed the scholarship exam of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) for June 2012 school year.
The scholars will receive tuition fee subsidy and other school fees, book allowance and monthly living allowance.
The qualifiers comprised 8.5 percent of the 330 students who took the exam at Negros Oriental State University (Norsu) on Nov. 20, 2011.
They are Kurt Harem Adalid and Christ John Cabanag from Bais City National High School; Jemar Catubig, Ken Naquimen, Joyce Mae Pino and Joshua Soldivillo of Negros Oriental High School; Maeben Mariah Angay, Krystal April Joy Curso, Arean Fel Dorio and Caress Tayo of Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial High School; Adrian dela Cruz and Joven Jalbuana, Bayawan National High School; Arnel Buensalida of Kalumboyan National High School; Marne Alberto, The Sisters of Mary Boystown and Girlstown; Nokki John Bayot of Pamplona National High School; Agnes Tabarcon and Ralph Viente from Valencia National High School; John Paul Cadalso of Mabinay Science High School; Divien Grace Dael, Guihulngan National High School; Mark Joseph Domocol, Pantao National High School; Aaron Paul Gloria, Santiago Delmo National High School; Hikaru Kanazawa, Deco Carmel Academy; Monroe Obera, San Miguel National High School; Charles Jon Michael Pajaron, Siaton Science National High School; Jay-Ar Rosano, Junob National High School; Omar Soberano, Mabinay Science High School; John Anthony Trazona, San Jose Provincial High School; and Carl Adrian Velasco of Taclobo National High School.
The scholarship program covers baccalaureate degree courses in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering.
The scholars will have an orientation seminar on April 30 at 8 a.m. at the DOST-Negros Oriental Provincial Science and Technology Center in Daro, Dumaguete City.
