UC-METC holds research congress

THE University of Cebu – Maritime Education and Training Center (UC-METC) recently held a research congress for students enrolled in the subject Introduction to Research Methods, under Gianne Rensen Antonio.

Dubbed “Work in process, work in progress: A novice researchers’ congress,” the activity showcased research proposals of the students.

Through oral presentations, interactions from the audience and the expert opinions of the reactors who are esteemed educators and practicing researchers, the event successfully achieved one of its goals of providing an avenue for students to share among themselves their knowledge and appreciation of research.

Titles presented were Apprenticeship satisfaction of fourth year Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering scholar cadets, Multiple intelligences and performance in engineering-watch of International Maritime Employers’ Committee (IMEC) Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Scholars, Absenteeism and relationship status of Maritime students and Female cadetship in the UC-METC.
