Former security guard nabbed for illegal drugs

A FORMER security guard who was allegedly involved in illegal drug activities was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City Thursday night.

Police said Jovani Dalocano, 22, was arrested shortly after he allegedly sold two packs of suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur buyer outside his house in sitio Sudtungan past 9 p.m.

Police said Dalocano ran to his home after the transaction when he noticed the presence of policemen.

Members of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) chased the suspect and collared him inside his house.

Police said 20 more packs believed to contain shabu kept inside a container for “tawas” were found on top of a bed.

The suspects said the seized items were just “tawas.”
