PH, Israel eye revival of direct flights
The Philippines and Israel has revived plans to launch direct flights between Manila and Tel Aviv to boost tourism and investments, Malacañang said on Tuesday. The plan was discussed during the meeting of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in Malacañang on Monday. Cohen told Mr. Marcos that the direct flights would bring more investments to both countries. Philippine Airlines was supposed to launch direct flights to Tel Aviv in 2022, but it was stalled due to geopolitical concerns. Mr. Marcos and Cohen also agreed to boost cooperation on water management and agriculture.
