PRC: None passed special licensure exam for social workers in Middle East

MANILA, Philippines — No one passed the special professional licensure examination (SPLE) for Filipino social workers conducted in the Middle East, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

The PRC said in a statement Wednesday that no applicant passed the licensure exam given by the Board for Social Workers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Al Ahmadi, Kuwait.

Board of Workers Chairman Lorna C. Gabad and members Rosetta G. Palma, Fe J. Sinsona, and Ely B. Acosta conducted the SPLE in the Middle East last April 22.

Aside from social workers, the SPLE was also conducted for Filipino architects, chemical engineers, civil engineers, electronics engineers, electronics technicians, environmental planners, geodetic engineers, master plumbers, mechanical engineers, certified plant mechanics, midwives, nurses, psychometricians, teachers, radiologic technologists, X-ray technologists, registered electrical engineers, registered master electricians, respiratory therapists, and veterinarians in the Middle East and Singapore.
