Abandoned bag with over P19 million worth of shabu found in Naia
MANILA, Philippines — An abandoned luggage containing almost 3,000 grams of suspected methamphetamine or “shabu” was found by authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 on Wednesday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported.
In a report, PDEA said operatives of Naia-Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group discovered the bag containing 2,846 grams of shabu amounting to P19,352,800.
The item arrived in the country December 26, 2022.
The agency revealed the baggage came from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
It was loaded on a Ethiopian Airlines flight and belonged to a female passenger who denied entry into the country upon her arrival last December 24.

The seized illegal narcotics have been turned over to PDEA for proper disposal.
