Talisay FC tops beach soccer competition
THE Talisay Football Club manned by booters from the University of San Jose Recoletos clinched the title of the first-ever beach soccer competition of the Bantayan Beach Games 2012 held at the Sugar Beach Resort in Sta. Fe.
The Talisay FC edged Bukoy United, 10-8, enroute to the title.
The champion team advanced to the finals after squeaking past Hagnaya FC, 3-2 while Bukoy United outsmarted Team Struggle, 2-1 in the semifinals.

All four teams advanced to the crossover semis after finishing in the top 2 of their respective groups.
The tournament which was handled by former Philippine Azkal member and University of San Carlos coach Joshua Fegidero attracted a total of seven teams. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
