Rain expected in parts of Mindanao due to easterlies — Pagasa

Parts of Mindanao can expect rain on Thursday due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Mindanao can expect rain on Thursday due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The rest of the country, however, can expect generally fair and dry weather, said the state weather bureau.

“Sa Mindanao, particularly sa eastern section ng Mindanao sa Caraga and Davao region, makakaranas po tayo ng kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat at pagkulog, dala ng epekto ng easterlies o yung maalinsangang hangin na nanggagaling sa Dagat Pasipiko,” said Pagasa weather forecaster Rhea Torres.

(In Mindanao, particularly in the eastern section of Mindanao in Caraga and Davao region, there will be scattered rain, lightning and thunder due to the effects of the easterlies or the dry wind from the Pacific Ocean.)

Areas affected by rain are cautioned by Pagasa of possible landslides or flash floods.

No gale warning has been raised over any part of the country.

  • Tagaytay: 22 to 32 degrees Celsius
