Cops want 10 persons of interest in hazing of Adamson student under watchlist

The police will be asking the Bureau of Immigration (BI) as well as the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGroup) to include in its watchlist the 10 persons of interest in the death of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig.

MANILA, Philippines—The police will be asking the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGroup) to include in its watchlist the 10 persons of interest in the death of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig.

“We are already preparing our request to include them in the watchlist in case they will attempt to go out of the country,” Laguna Police Director Col. Randy Glen Silvio said.

The police have already filed a complaint for violation of the Anti-Hazing Law against six Tau Gamma Phi fraternity members. They asked for a preliminary investigation and are required to answer the accusation against them by March 10.

Meanwhile, the seventh suspect, who surrendered Thursday, will undergo an inquest proceeding also for the same offense. Silvio confirmed the seventh suspect was the master initiator during the hazing rites.
