7 alleged drug pushers in Calabarzon yield P453,000 shabu, gun
LUCENA CITY — Seven drug suspects yielded more than P453,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm after their arrest in buy-bust operations on Friday, Feb. 17, in Rizal, Batangas, and Cavite provinces.
Police anti-illegal drug operatives in Antipolo City, Rizal collared Jayson Hornedo, classified as a “high-value” target in the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
Seized from Hornedo were 10 sachets of shabu weighing 30.5 grams worth about P204,400.
Hornedo also yielded an undocumented .38 gun loaded with three bullets.
The police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
Article continues after this advertisementIn San Pascual town in Batangas, police busted at 9:39 p.m. Quinn Jobert Aguirre and Cristelle Joyce Tan, both “high-value” targets, at the town center.

Meanwhile, Cavite cops collared on Friday night Ryan Lowawan and Cedric Dieto in Barangay San Francisco in General Trias town. The two yielded 10 sachets of shabu worth P73,000.
Earlier, police in Alfonso, Cavite, busted Norvin Celeste and Ferdinand Sarao in Barangay Poblacion 2. Police seized P35,000 worth of meth from the suspects.
The suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Hornedo will also be charged of illegal possession of a firearm.
