Marcos appoints new acting LWUA administrator
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed a new administrator of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA).
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Marcos appointed former Masbate vice governor Vicente Homer Revil as the acting administrator of the LWUA on Feb. 6.
He will also serve as a member of the board of trustees of the agency.
Revil replaced officer-in-charge Eileen dela Vega.
In October last year, Senators Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa and Robin Padilla said they would urge Marcos to appoint a chief for the LWUA to solve water-related problems in Marawi City.
Article continues after this advertisementMarcos also appointed lawyer Jovy Bernabe as an acting member of the board of trustees of the LWUA.
Article continues after this advertisementBernabe, who served as the president of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, was also appointed on Feb 6.
The President also appointed Mary Lyn Lagamon as Presidential Assistant I under the Office of the President.
The PCO said the appointment was made on January 18.
Malacañang has yet to release the appointment papers of the latest appointees under the Marcos administration.
