3 drug suspects nabbed, over P105,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY — Police arrested three suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P105,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces.

Lieutenant Kharren Formales, Albay police spokesperson, said in a report Wednesday, Jan. 25, that they arrested around 9:15 p.m. Joseph Quisam in Barangay Paulog in Ligao City. His two cohorts fled.

Four sachets weighing 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 were confiscated from the suspects.

In Tiwi town, Jewel Policarpio, 26, was also arrested at 1:08 p.m. in Barangay Nagas.

Formales said he sold a sachet of shabu worth P5,372 to an undercover agent in the area.

In Buhi town in Camarines Sur, Rogelio Horlador, 48, was also arrested in Barangay Salvacion around 5:30 p.m.

A sachet of shabu worth P500 was confiscated from Horlador, who was identified as a street-level peddler.

The suspects were facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
