Motorcycle-riding robbers attack gas station in Quezon

Robbers posing as customers struck at a gasoline station in Atimonan, Quezon early Thursday and ran away with over P1,890 worth of the business’s earnings, police reported.

LUCENA CITY—Robbers posing as customers struck at a gasoline station in Atimonan, Quezon early Thursday and ran away with over P1,890 worth of the business’s earnings, police reported.

In a report, the Quezon police said the culprits were aboard a motorcycle when they appeared at the Flying V gas station in Barangay Malinao Ilaya supposedly to gas up.

One of the riders pointed a handgun at the gasoline boy and declared a hold-up.

The robbers grabbed the sling bag of the gasoline boy containing more than P1,890 in earnings in different denominations, and a mobile phone before escaping.

The police were trying to identify the robbers through the security camera in the area.
