Kid wounded by stray bullet amid holiday festivities in Bukidnon -- PNP

MANILA, Philippines — A child in the province of Bukidnon was wounded by a stray bullet, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Saturday.

“Mayroon na po tayong na record na kaso po ng stray bullet diyan sa, partikular na sa Bukidnon po, kung saan ang isang bata po ay habang nanonood ng kasiyahan ay napainsin po niya na may sugat siya sa kanyang kamay,”  PNP spokesperson Col. Jean  Fajardo said in a Teleradyo interview.

(A stray bullet injury was reported in Bukidnon. A child was watching holiday festivities when a people noticed the minor’s bloodies hand.)

Fajardo did not specify the child’s gender and age.

Fajardo added that it was not until the child was rushed to hospital that the stray bullet injury was discovered.

“Maayos na po ang bata, at nakauwi na sa kanyang bahay,” said Fajardo.

(The child is fine and was discharged from hospital.)

Fajardo said further investigation is ongoing.
