Over P1.4-M crystal meth, marijuana seized in Cagayan raid

Authorities on Thursday (Dec. 29) arrested three alleged illegal drug dealers who yielded P1.4 million worth of suspected "shabu" (crystal meth) and P10,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves during an operation in Aparri town, Cagayan province.

TUGUEGARAO CITY–Authorities on Thursday (Dec. 29) arrested three alleged illegal drug dealers who yielded P1.4 million worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) and P10,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves during an operation in Aparri town, Cagayan province.

In a report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cagayan Valley identified the suspects as Rolando Uri, 52; Mila Malana, 50; and Michael Uri, 37, all residents of Maura village in Aparri.

According to Louella Tomas, PDEA-Region 2 information officer, the trio were collared after the lawmen served two search warrants with seizure orders.

A loaded.38-caliber revolver was also seized during the operation.

The suspects will be charged with violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Illegal Firearms Law. INQ
