P71,000 shabu seized from 2 suspects in Laguna bust

Police authorities have arrested one of Laguna's most wanted persons in the province following a manhunt operation over the weekend

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested two alleged notorious drug pushers and seized more than P71,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Saturday in Calamba City in Laguna province.

Edgar Calsado and Salve Melliena were collared after they sold shabu to a police agent in Barangay Pansol at 5:36 p.m., the Region 4A police said in a report Sunday, Dec. 25.

The duo, both on the police drug watch list, yielded four sachets of meth weighing 10.5 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P71,400.
