11 COVID-19 patients in Calabarzon dead
LUCENA CITY — With the continued spike in COVID-19 cases in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), at least 11 infected patients died Thursday in the region.
The Health Education and Promotion Unit of the Department of Health (DOH)-Calabarzon data on Thursday showed 33 COVID-19 fatalities this month in the region.
The authorities did not provide other details about the fatalities.
Last month, at least 78 COVID-19-infected patients died in Calabarzon, 111 in October and 99 in September.
The DOH-Calabarzon tallied 886 active COVID-19 cases as of Dec. 15, reflecting an increase from 749 on Dec. 1, data showed.
