LUCENA CITY – Two motorcycle riders and a pedestrian died in separate road accidents in Cavite and Laguna provinces on Saturday night (December 10).

Motorcyclist Romnick Noreiga, 22, and his back-rider Raymond Aguilar, 14, were traveling along the national road in Barangay (village) Punta 1 in Tanza, Cavite at around 11:30 p.m., the Region 4A police said in a report Sunday (December 11).

Suddenly, Aguilar lost control of the vehicle, which slid to the opposite lane and went under the oncoming delivery truck driven by Mars Abraham.

The motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries and were taken to Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Hospital but died along the way.

Abraham was placed under police custody.

Meanwhile, in San Pablo City, Laguna, motorcyclist Francis Penaloza accidentally hit Raul Umali who was walking on the roadside in Barangay San Cristobal around 7:40 p.m.

Due to the strong impact, the victim was thrown a couple of meters away and consequently hit by an oncoming jitney driven by Efren Panopio.

Umali died while being taken to a local hospital.

The police are conducting investigations.
