“It is crystal-clear that the biggest threat to our country now is climate vulnerability. Whether it’s a supertyphoon taking lives or a drought destroying our agricultural economy, the toll climate change takes on our country is quite severe. We must do what it takes to save our country and prepare for the future,” Llamanzares said in a statement.

Llamanzares, in his book, explained the three main pillars of sustainability: resource management, renewable energy, and disaster resilience.

Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, and former Ateneo School of Government dean Antonio La Vina delivered keynote speeches during the event.

Llamanzares chairs the Panday Bayanihan foundation, created in honor of his grandfather National Artist Fernando Poe Jr. He likewise serves as chief of staff to his mother’s office in the Senate.

The author completed several academic programs, including Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies, Evaluating Social Programs, and Leadership in Crises in various schools across the globe.
