Miner arrested for illegal drugs, beating partner in Camarines Norte
LEGAZPI CITY — A man, who was arrested Wednesday for beating his partner, was found possessing illegal drugs in Paracale town in Camarines Norte province.
Police Major Fernand Segundo, Paracale police chief, reported that they arrested at 5:35 a.m. a miner identified only as “Popoy,” 42, in Barangay Tugos.
Segundo said his partner reported Popoy to the police for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Law or Republic Act No. 9262.
During the body search, police found a medium sachet of shabu worth P6,000.
Popoy is now in police custody and face charges for violating RA 9262 and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
