MANILA, Philippines – Northern and Central Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as the tail-end of a cold front continues to prevail over the region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.

In its latest weather report, Pagasa said that cloudy skies will be bringing widespread rains over the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon which may trigger flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, the state-run weather bureau said.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to East will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and from the Northeast to North over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough,” Pagasa added.
