Paeng makes 5th landfall in Sariaya, Quezon
MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Paeng made its fifth landfall in Sariaya, Quezon on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said Paeng made its landfall in the area at 1:40 p.m.
According to Pagasa, Paeng made landfall early Saturday morning in Virac, Catanduanes followed by another one in Caramoan, Camarines Sur; Buenavista in Quezon, and Santa Cruz in Marinduque.
Paeng was last spotted in the vicinity of San Pablo City, Laguna, packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center with gustiness of up to 160 kph, said Pagasa.
