PRC: 2,955 of 4,723 pass Social Worker Licensure Examination

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 2,955 examinees passed the latest licensure test for social workers.
Gian Paul Salanio of the University of the Philippines-Diliman topped the examination with an 88.80 percent rating. On the second and third spots were Nevien Siquira Dandoy of Colegio De San Francisco Javier and Fiona Yvannie Murillo of Leyte Normal University, respectively.
A total of 4,723 took the licensure exam that was supervised by the Board for Social Workers, which is led by chair Lorna Gabad and members Rosetta Palma, Fe Sinsona, and Ely Acosta.
The examination was conducted from September 19-21 in different parts of the country, including Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

In a statement posted on its website, the PRC said test results were processed within three working days following the last day of examination. It also said that online registration for the issuance of professional identification cards and certificates of registration to the board passers would be announced soon.
It, however, reminded the successful examinees of the requirements such as downloaded duly accomplished oath form, a notice of admission (for identification purposes), two pieces of passport-sized pictures (with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and one piece short brown envelope.
The PRC said “successful examinees should personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals.”
