Man shot dead over unpaid debt in Cavite

LUCENA CITY—A construction worker was shot and killed Wednesday over unpaid debt in General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite.

The Region 4A police reported on Thursday, August 25, that suspect “Fajad,” had a heated argument with Mario Napili, 66, and Marlon Napili, 35, in Barangay F. Reyes around 7 p.m. over P1,700 that the latter owed the suspect.

The suspect suddenly drew his handgun and shot Mario and Marlon. Fajad escaped after the shooting.

Mario died while being taken to the hospital, while Marlon remained under confinement due to a bullet wound on his left hand.

Police are hunting Fajad.
