3-month discount on Skyway’s Naia 3 junction starts March 19
The San Miguel Corp.-led Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corp. is offering a toll discount at the Metro Manila Skyway’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 interchange to get more cars to pass through the elevated road.
The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) on Friday announced that the new fee of P20 for every Class 1 vehicle, (cars and jeepneys), which is lower than the current P35, will be implemented starting March 19.
The fee for Class 2 vehicles like light trucks and buses will be lowered to P40 from the current P70.
“The toll discount … is a public service to motorists in connection with the scheduled road repair of the (nearby) Sales Bridge to start in mid-March,” TRB executive director Edmund Reyes said in a statement.
Repairs works by the Department of Public Works and Highways on the Sales Bridge are expected to cause heavy traffic in the area.
The discount will remain in effect for a total of three months starting next week.

This proposal, however, goes against a similar offer by NLEx operator Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. chaired by Manuel V. Pangilinan.
Metro Pacific offers to connect Skyway to NLEx via an elevated toll road passing over the Philippine National Railways line and through Manila’s port district in Tondo.
