Over P200K worth of shabu seized in Rizal busts

LUCENA CITY – More than P200,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from three drug suspects in Rizal province on Saturday, July 9, reports said Sunday.

The Police Regional Office 4-A in a report said members of the local police drug enforcement unit in Angono town nabbed Prince Noblejas and Rayven Ramirez in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) San Roque around 8:10 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were 25 grams of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P212,500.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

In Tanay town, policemen also busted Dominguito Rull in the village of Sampaloc around 3:05 p.m. The suspect yielded two plastic sachets of meth with a DDB value P13,600.

Police also reportedly recovered an undocumented and loaded caliber .45 pistol.

All suspects were detained at the local police jails and are facing charges of violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Rull will face another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
