Shabu worth over P200k seized from 3 rookie drug pushers in Lucena bust

LUCENA CITY––Police confiscated over P200,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from three drug suspects arrested in a buy-bust operation here on Sunday, the report said Monday.

Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Marklim Retoma, Harold Alagaban, and Arnold Peria after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Cotta around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities seized a digital weighing scale and nine plastic sachets of shabu worth P205,00 in the street market.

The police tagged the three suspects as “newly identified drug personalities” or rookies in the drug trade.

The illegal activities of the suspects were tipped off to police hotlines by anonymous callers. Reformed drug users confirmed the information.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
