Dressed chicken

IF not for her lack of plumage, “Danday” would have been a normal and healthy chicken.

Danday was born completely without feathers in Alamada, North Cotabato, two years ago.

She was adopted last Tuesday by Cebu optometrist Noe Fernandez and his wife Maridel, who took an interest in the odd-looking fowl. Fernandez said he was surprised at how the chicken withstands temperature changes without feathers. He said he plans to breed chickens like her.

As part of quarantine regulations, the fowl had to be wrapped in a diaper before it could be loaded on a plane. The chicken arrived yesterday and is settling in its new home in the doctor’s clinic in Sancianko Street, Cebu City.
