With courtside tickets already sold out, Lapu-Lapu City gears up for PBA hoop battle

Tickets are selling fast for the upcoming game between the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters slated March 24 at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

With a little over a week to go before the out-of-town game of the 37th PBA Commissioner’s Cup, courtside tickets, each worth P1,500, are already sold out.

Organizers said general admission tickets worth P200 can only be bought in the barangay halls of Babag, Bangkal, Buaya, Calawisan, Canjulao, Gun-ob, Looc, Mactan, Maribago, Marigondon, Pajac, Pajo, Poblacion, Punta Engano and Suba-Basbas.

Organizers also announced that the event is backed by International Pharmaceutical Inc. (IPI) and Insular Square.

“IPI has been active in supporting and promoting sports and we are excited to support the upcoming PBA game,” said Stanley Uang, IPI’s vice president for sales and marketing, in a press conference at the Amnezia Superclub last Wednesday night.

Aimee Ting, leasing manager of Insular Square, said supporting the Talk ‘N Text-Rain or Shine Game is one of the highlight’s of the establishment’s grand opening on March 23.

Players from both teams will grace the opening of Insular Square located in barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

Meanwhile, the Alaska Aces face former head coach Tim Cone and the B-Meg Llamados in today’s first game at the Cuneta Astrodome. The main game pits the Air21 Express and the Painters.
