3 motorcycle riders slain in Batangas, Cavite shooting incidents

LUCENA CITY—Three motorcycle riders were shot and killed in separate incidents on July 5 and 6 in Batangas and Cavite provinces.

The Region 4-A police reported that at 12:15 a.m. July 6, riding-in-tandem men repeatedly shot Danilo and Jennifer, both surnamed Panganiban, who were aboard a motorcycle along Binambangan street in Indang, Cavite.

The assailants fled after the shooting aboard a yellow Yamaha motorcycle.

Danilo died on the spot from fatal gunshot wounds, while Jeniffer was taken to General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital in neighboring Trece Martires City.

The police are investigating the incident to identify the killers and establish the motive behind the shooting.

In San Juan, Batangas, rider Joel Leopango was also shot dead around 7:15 p.m. in Barangay Palingowak

The police said Leopangco, aboard his motorcycle, was approaching his house when Nelson Britaña, on the roadside, shot the victim several times with a caliber .45 pistol. The gunman fled, leaving his target dead.

The police have launched a hunt for Britaña.

In Nasugbu, also in Batangas, two car-riding men blocked motorcyclist Marco Ibañez, and shot him several times along Apacible Boulevard in Barangay Bucana around 7 a.m. The victim died on the spot.

Quezon

In Tayabas City, an unidentified man on Tuesday shot motorcycle rider Bien Carlo Nadera, who survived.

The gunman, with a caliber .45 pistol, at 8:15 p.m. repeatedly shot Nadera in Barangay Ibabang Bukal.

The gunman fled after the shooting aboard a black motorcycle.

The victim suffered grave wounds and was taken to the Quezon Medical Center in this city. He is still undergoing treatment.

Investigators found five bullet shells and one slug at the crime scene.

In a phone interview, Police Corporal Mark Vincent Cabriga, the case investigator, said the victim had no criminal records on the police files.
