Palace: Marcos ‘upbeat, very encouraging’ on first few days as president
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has been “upbeat, very encouraging, and well-received” in his first few days as the country’s chief executive, the Malacañang said Monday.
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said this when asked how Marcos settled in his new role a few days following his inauguration.
“How is he settling in? So far he’s upbeat. That’s the observation that we have made. He’s very encouraging,” Cruz-Angeles said in a press briefing.
“He attended today’s flag ceremony as required. He has been… from what I can see is that he is always well-received. So far that is what we can observe,” she added.
Due to security reasons, however, Cruz-Angeles said the Palace cannot divulge the living conditions of the Marcos family yet.
