Park N’ Go trips Powerade in TBA
PARK N’ Go outlasted Powerade, 109-101, last Sunday for its 3rd win in four games in Category-B of the Talisay Basketball Association (TBA)-2012 First Conference basketball tournament at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
Powerade led by double digits in the first two periods before the Breadmakers unloaded a 36-21 bomb in the third to come to within a point, 79-80 going to the final quarter.
The fourth featured several deadlocks and lead changes until bull-strong center Aikan Cabañero canned a lay-up in the final 4 minutes to give Park N’ Go its first taste of the lead, 91-90. Then Dagol Alcontin scored 12 points in the fourth for the 8-point win.
In the other game of the same category, San Miguel earned its first win after routing winless Rain or Shine, 104-85 while in Category C, CJ Optical crushed CJ Fighters, 80-65, for its 2nd win in three games. The latter fell to 1-2.
In the other Category C game, the Arbedoms stopped its two-game slide with a, 77-69 upset of the Warriors to improve to 1-2 while the latter fell to 2-1.
Earlier, Oklahoma nipped winless Dallas, 86-69, in Legend Category for its 2nd straight win.
