Bulusan Volcano records 106 quakes in 24 hours
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 106 earthquakes were recorded in the Bulusan Volcano in Sorsogon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Monday.
Based on its 24-hour observation from June 12, 5 a.m. to June 13, 5 a.m., Phivolcs listed 106 volcanic earthquakes including 48 volcanic tremors which lasted for 20 minutes.
The plumes reached 500 meters high and drifted west-northwest of the province.
Meanwhile, 4,627 tons of sulfur dioxide flux were registered on Sunday.
The volcano’s edifice is still inflated, said Phivolcs.

Several families have evacuated after the ashfall blanketed their homes.
