Malacanang reporter shot in Pasig, in critical condition
MANILA, Philippines – A journalist covering the Malacañang beat is in critical condition after he was shot in Pasig City Sunday night, a Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said Monday.
Pasig City police chief Senior Superintendent Jessie Cardona identified the victim as Daily Tribune reporter Fernan Angeles who was repeatedly shot by still unidentified assailants at 11 p.m. He was rushed to the Pasig City General Hospital.
Cardona said that they have yet to determine the suspects’ motive for the attack.
