P2.4M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Police arrested two men who allegedly yielded some P2,448,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations Monday in this city and Santa Rita town.
Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said in a statement that the first sting operation was conducted at Barangay Mawaque Maragul in this city, while the second operation was at Dila-Dila village in Santa Rita.
Regional drug enforcement and special concern unit operatives, along with city police, arrested Julius Guillermo, 30, in a buy-bust at Mawaque Maragul village after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover lawman.
Police allegedly confiscated from Guillermo 305 grams of shabu in six sealed and two knot-tied sachets worth P2,074,000.
Also recovered were marked P1,000 bill and 19 pieces of P1,000 play money used in the sting operation.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Dila-Dila village in Santa Rita, provincial drug enforcement and intelligence operatives and town police arrested Jean Dantes, 53, in a buy-bust operation.
Article continues after this advertisementPolice allegedly seized three sachets of shabu weighing 55 grams worth P374,000 from the suspect. The marked P1,000 peso bill used in the operation was also recovered.
The two suspects face charges for violatin the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
