Mindanao to continue to have rains due to LPA, ITCZ
MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Mindanao are still expected to experience rains on Tuesday due to a low pressure area and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) near the region, the weather bureau said.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that while the LPA is not likely to intensify into a storm, it will still bring rains over Mindanao.
The LPA was last spotted at 230 kilometers east-southeast of General Santos City, Aurelio said.
