THE Southwestern University – College of Optometry headed by its dean, Dr. Ruth Ortiz, conducted a free preschool vision screening and feeding program in Viking Sports Complex, barangay Alaska-Mambaling, Cebu City on Feb. 22.

A total of 120 preschool children from Viking Day Care Center, Alaska Day Care Center and Bliss Home benefited from the event.

The junior and senior optometry students did eye checkups on the pre-school children and gave food and stationary items to them.

“This is a continuation of our feeding and eye screening project,” said Dr. Candy delos Reyes, coordinator of community extension program of the College of Optometry.
