Over 300 illegal campaign posters removed in Olongapo City
OLONGAPO CITY—A composite team from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and other concerned agencies recently dismantled more than 300 campaign materials in this city.
These campaign materials violated the Comelec rule that prohibits posting in places not identified as “common poster areas.”
Some of these election propaganda materials exceeded the allowable size.
Some illegally posted campaign materials belonged to partylists and local and national candidates.
The Comelec’s “Oplan Baklas” team is composed of representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways and local police.
