Shooting victim found dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines — An unidentified female was found dead in Quezon City Wednesday, police said.

Senior Police Inspector 2 Roldan Dapat said the victim was identified only as “Grace” by some residents at the Salam Mosque Compound in Barangay (village) Culiat where her body was found sprawled on the ground in front of Salam Kali’s house around 3 a.m.

The body had gunshot wounds on her right knee and upper lip, Dapat said.

However, only one spent shell from a caliber .45 pistol was recovered at the crime scene.

Reading a report, Dapat said the victim was often seen going around the compound on board a motorcycle.

He said police were still investigating to determine the motive.

Suspects remain unidentified, he added.
