Drug suspect yields P69K ‘shabu’, gun in Rizal buy-bust
LUCENA CITY–-Anti-narcotics agents arrested on Thursday, March 17, an armed drug suspect and seized P69,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Binangonan, Rizal.
The Calabarzon police said operatives collared Edward Borja after allegedly selling a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Tayuman around 10:30 p.m.
Borja yielded 10 grams of shabu in two sachets worth about P69,000.
Police found the suspect carrying an undocumented .38-caliber revolver loaded with three bullets.
The suspect was detained and will be charged with illegal possession of a firearm and violations of the election gun ban.
Borja will also face a formal complaint in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
