Construction worker dead, laborer hurt in Quezon shooting incidents
LUCENA CITY––A construction worker was killed, and another laborer was injured in separate shooting incidents Sunday in Pagbilao town in Quezon province, the police said Monday.
Pagbilao police reported that Glenn Perdon, 43, was seated in front of a store in Barangay Talipan around 9 p.m. and was about to drink from his beer bottle when a still unidentified gunman suddenly appeared and shot him three times. The assailant fled on foot after the shooting incident, while Perdon died on the spot.
The police are conducting further investigation to establish the motive behind the murder and unmask the killer.
Police also reported that Ronald Borja, 31, was shot by his brother Gilbert while the two were having a drinking spree in another part of the same village around 8 p.m.
The report said the two had a heated argument that ended with the suspect shooting the victim once on the head.

Borja escaped after the shooting and is now the subject of a police manhunt.
