Robbery suspect nabbed in Nueva Ecija drug buy-bust
GAPAN CITY — A 29-year-old robbery suspect in Zaragoza town in Nueva Ecija was arrested during an anti-drug operation on Tuesday, Feb. 8, police said.
The suspect was identified as Gener Eztares, a truck driver from Barangay Pulo, San Isidro town, Nueva Ecija.
Police said Eztares yielded 20 sachets of alleged “shabu”(crystal meth) during the operation in Barangay Sto. Niño here at about 2 a.m.

Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito, city police chief, said the suspect reportedly confessed that he was a lookout in a robbery incident that victimized a local trader.

The robbery victim lost P300,000 to the armed suspects, investigators said.
Eztares will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
